Bio-Pak

Bio-Pak is a South African-based manufacturer of home compostable food packaging, including coffee cups, lids, and cartons. Their core offering is sustainable, plastic-free packaging that breaks down naturally in a home compost environment—without requiring industrial composting facilities. Their products are made from renewable plant-based materials and are designed to return to the earth, not pollute it. Traditional Practice: Food and beverage packaging is dominated by plastic or PLA-lined paper cups, which are technically compostable but only under industrial conditions—something largely unavailable to the ordinary consumer. They provide genuinely compostable, plastic-free solutions, backed by transparency and education. We challenge greenwashing by offering verified, certified home-compostable packaging and by educating our clients and end-users on responsible disposal.
